A Christmas tradition organized by a Binghamton family is looking for help in putting on this year’s event.

The Bandera Family Free Christmas Dinner is in its 28th year, starting in 1989.

Bill Bandera says an average of 3,500 meals are served on Christmas Day with 1,500 meals delivered to the home-bound.

Bandera says they are looking for donations of cash, food and volunteers.  To help out, go to www.banderachristmas.com.

The dinner is to be served from noon to 3 p.m. Christmas Day at American Legion Post 80 on Main Street in Binghamton and at the Boys and Girls Club in Endicott.
