Balloon to Simulate Proposed Cell Phone Tower in Johnson City

Capital Telecom, which has applied for a tower special use permit for construction of a 120 foot tall communications tower on Reynolds Road in Johnson City, plans to fly a test balloon above the site to simulate the possible visual impacts of the proposed tower.The flight, if weather permits, has been scheduled to start at 10 a.m. February 5th.

The Johnson City Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on the permit application February 11th.  The meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. in the second floor board room at village hall.
