The Binghamton Senators defeated the Springfield Thunderbirds 3-2 in overtime Saturday night at the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.  The win is the second of the weekend for Binghamton after a 4-2 win in Syracuse on Friday night.

Jack Rodewald and Jason Akeson each scored goals for the B-Sens in regulation.  The Akeson goal tied the score at 2-2 with just 1:18 left in the third period.

In the overtime period Francis Perron notched the game-winner with a blast from near the left faceoff circle on a feed from Phil Varone.  Matt O'Connor earned his second win of the weekend and made 34 saves in goal.

Binghamton returns to action on Wednesday night with a trip Lehigh Valley.  Game time is set for 7:05 PM.
