Muno-Mania struck the New Hampshire Fisher Cats last night.  B-Met infielder Danny Muno hit two home runs and drove in seven runs to pace his team to a 7-6 victory in Manchester, New Hampshire.  Muno hammered a grand slam home run in the fifth inning and a three-run home run an inning later.  He accounted for all seven B-Mets runs in the game.

Logan Verrett was looking for his ninth win of the season but was chased in the third inning after giving up four runs.  Jim Fuller came on in relief  and pitched into the seventh inning to earn his second win of the season.

The win puts Binghamton's record at 52-30, the best of any team in the Eastern League.  Game two of the five-game series is set for 7:05 tonight (air at 6:50 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Mark Cohoon is the scheduled B-Mets starter tonight.  Binghamton plays night games tomorrow and Sunday nights and will end the series with a 12:35 PM game on Monday.  Teams will then take two days off for the Eastern League All-Star game.
