B-Mets Topple SeaWolves
The Binghamton Mets rolled by the Erie SeaWolves this afternoon 6- 1 in Erie, Pa. at Jerry Uht Park. Mark Cohoon started and got the win for Binghamton. Cohoon ups his season record to 8-3. He gave up one run and five hits over six innings of work. Ramon Garcia took the loss on the hill for Erie. His record drops to 0-3.
Cory Vaughn drove in four runs for the B-Mets. Vaughn belted a 2-run home run and drove in two more tallies with a single in the seventh inning. Travis Taijeron blasted a solo home run in the seventh inning for the B-Mets. Relief pitchers Chasen Bradford and Adam Kolarek kept the SeaWolves off the board over the final three innings to ice the win.
With the victory the B-Mets move to 75-46 and won their 22nd series of the season. Binghamton enjoys a night off tomorrow and then will head to Reading for a three-game series beginning Tuesday night at 7:05 (airtime at 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
