B-Mets Top Curve in Altoona
The Binghamton Mets topped the Altoona Curve May 31 in Altoona by a final of 5-3. Aderlin Rodriguez smashed a pair of home runs and Gavin Cechinni went 2-4 to pace Binghamton offensively.
The B-Mets scored three runs in the eighth inning to post the come-from-behind victory. Matt Koch earned the win and got scoreless relief help from Vic Back and Paul Sewald who notched his ninth save of the season.
The B-Mets victory puts their record at 26-24 and kept Altoona from sweeping the series. The Curve had posted wins on Friday and Saturday nights.
Binghamton has an off-day June 1 and then returns home to host the Trenton Thunder for three consecutive games at NYSEG Stadium.
