B-Mets Sweep Rock Cats
The Binghamton Mets completed a sweep of the New Britain Rock Cats with a 6-5 victory June 14 at NYSEG Stadium. Binghamton has now won four consecutive games and ups their record to 32-30.
Michael Conforto continues to rip Eastern League pitching as he hit a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to plate the winning run in walk -off fashion. It was the second walk-off hit the rookie has gotten so far this month.
Eudy Pina hit his first ever Double-A home run. John Mincone pitched a scoreless ninth inning to record his first win as a B-Met.
The B-Mets next play three in a row in Portland, Maine against the Sea Dogs beginning June 16 at 7:00 p.m. (air at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
