The Binghamton Mets pounded Portland Sea Dogs' pitching July 10 and walked away with a 7-3 victory at Hadlock Field.  Binghamton banged out a season-high 18 hits on the way to the win.  Gavin Cecchini compiled a four-hit game and reached base safely five times to key Binghamton's offense. He has now hit safely in 11 straight games.

Starter John Gant went six innings to earn the win.  He ups his record to 3-4.  Portland's starter, Justin Haley only lasted three innings.  He gave up six runs and eleven hits in his short stint.

The win puts Binghamton's record at 44-42. Game two in the series is set for July 11.  Robert Gsellman gets the start for Binghamton. opposed by Luis Diaz.  The game is set for a 6:00 p.m. start with air at 5:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
