In what could be very good news for B-Mets fans, it's been announced that the legal dispute between the current Binghamton Mets owners and a potential buyer for the team has been settled out of court. This statement was released by Binghamton Mets President Mike Urda:

"The Binghamton Mets, Main Street Baseball, Clark Minker and Beacon Sports Capital are pleased to announce their court case has been dismissed by both parties in a private settlement.  As part of the Settlement Agreement there will be no further comment on this privileged statement."

With no further comment on the situation, the sale of the Binghamton Mets remains cloudy.

Minker's group maintained they had a deal to buy the ball club and move it out of Binghamton. Urda admitted publicly that he and the other current owners are looking to retire and sell the Binghamton franchise.

The settlement potentially could open the door for a reported second interested  buyer who would keep the Double-A franchise located in Binghamton, something Beacon Sports Capital was not planning to do.
