The Binghamton Mets hoped for their second consecutive road victory when they played the Akron Rubber Ducks at Canal Park.  But it was not to be with the slippery Ducks squeezing out a 1-0 win.

Sunday, Binghamton got impressive pitching from starter Luis Cessa as he shutout the RubberDucks for seven innings and earned his seventh win of the season.

Binghamton now travels to Erie for a four-game series.  Then the B-Mets entertain the Portland Sea Dogs for three straight contests beginning on Saturday, July 4th.
