The Binghamton Mets hope to rebound from an 11-0 thrashing last night at the hands of the Bowie Baysox.  Bowie tagged prime Mets' prospect Noah Syndergaard  for nine hits and all 11 runs as he suffered his first defeat at the Double-A level.

Syndergaard exited the game after three innings.  Armando Rodriguez, Ryan Fraser and Jeff Walters came on after that and did not yield a run but the damage was already done.  Eduardo Rodriguez worked eight innings to coast to the victory.

The B-Mets record stands at 82-53.  Logan Verrett is the scheduled starter for Binghamton tonight.  He will face Tyler Wilson for the Baysox.  Tonight is game two of the four-game series.  Airtime is set for 6:50 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF with Tim Heiman calling the action.

Following the trip to Bowie the B-Mets head home to wrap-up the regular season with a four-game series against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.  The regular campaign ends with a 1:05 PM game on Monday (Labor Day).  The playoffs are set to begin next Wednesday.  Binghamton will play the first two games of the best-of-five playoff series on the road against an as of yet undetermined foe.  Trenton has a three-game lead over New Hampshire for second place and the final playoff spot in the Eastern Division.
