B-Mets Look to Even Series in Trenton Tonight
The Binghamton Mets are looking to rebound from last night’s 6-5 loss to the Trenton Thunder in Trenton . Brandon Nimmo and T.J.Rivera each had three hits for Binghamton. Jack Leathersich gave up three runs in relief and took the loss for the B-Mets.
Tonight Binghamton will start Matt Bowman against Trenton’s Dan Camarena. Bowman is 6-6 while Camarena is 0-3. In Bowman’s last start against the Thunder last Saturday Binghamton suffered a 6-1 loss. He gave up five runs on seven hits in 5.2 innings pitched. Camarena is also making his second start against Binghamton. He suffered the loss last Sunday when the B-Mets downed the Thunder 5-2. He gave up five runs on seven hits over 4.2 innings of work.
Going into tonight’s first pitch the B-Mets are 26-25 on the road and 61-43 overall. That puts them 4.5 games in back of Portland and 9.5 games ahead of third place New Britain. Tonight’s game begins at 7:05 with airtime at 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
