The Binghamton Mets are playing some of their best baseball of the season with an 8-3 record n their last 11 games.  They swept all three games earlier this week at NYSEG Stadium against the Bowie Baysox.  Tonight (Thursday) they open a four-game series in Portland against the Sea Dogs at 7:00 PM (air at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).

Josh Zeid makes the start for Binghamton tonight while Jacob Dahlstrand gets the ball for the Sea Dogs.  Zeid is 2-3 this season while Dahlstrand is 1-0.  Heading into tonight;s game the B-Mets are 7-4 against Portland.  The two teams have not met since May 15th.  Binghamton's overall record is 44-51 while the Sea Dogs are 36-61.

The two teams play Friday and Saturday nights and finish the series with a Sunday matinee game.  Following the series in Portland Binghamton travels to Reading for three straight before hosting Portland next Thursday.
