B-Mets in Akron
The Binghamton Mets are playing three games in a row in Akron against the RubberDucks this weekend. Rainy Lara is on the mound for the B-Mets against Akron's D.J.Brown. Lara suffered a loss against Akron on April 18th when he gave up three runs in 6.1 innings of work.
In a bizarre scheduling quirk this weekend's series is the last time the B-Mets and RubberDucks meet this season. The RubberDucks have been adept with the long ball.
They have an Eastern League best 47 home runs including nine against the B-Mets. In April Binghamton dropped all three games to Akron at Canal Park.
Binghamton and the RubberDucks meet again Saturday night at 6:35 (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) and on Sunday afternoon at 2:05 (1:50 air on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
The B-Mets return to NYSEG Stadium for an eight-game homestand with four games against the Richmond Flying Squirrels and four more against the Trenton Thunder over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
