The Binghamton Mets close their homestand tonight with a 6:35 game against the Hartford Yard Goats at NYSEG Stadium (air at 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Last night Binghamton bullied the Yard Goats pitching with 15 base hits and cruised to a 9-1 win. Starting pitcher Ricky Knapp was outstanding going the full nine innings, giving up just three hits and getting the win.

It was the first nine-inning complete game of his career and the first by a Binghamton pitcher since July 2, 2015 when Gabriel Ynoa shutout Trenton yielding just one hit.

Kevin McGowan makes his second start as a B-Met.  He brings a 4-0 record into the game with an ERA of 2.70.  Hartford counters with Zach Jemiola who is 7-8 with an ERA of 4.59. He makes his fifth start against the B-Mets and is 0-3 against Binghamrton.

Following tonight's game the B-Mets hit the road for a week before returning home to close the season on Labor Day weekend.  Erie comes to town to meet the B-Mets in the season-ending series.
