B-Mets Host Flying Squirrels
The Binghamton Mets continue their homestand this weekend as they host the Richmond Flying Squirrels at NYSEG Stadium tonight at 6:35 (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF). The B-Mets struggles continued last night as they dropped a 9-6 decision to Altooona. The loss was the sixth in a row for Binghamton and ninth in the past ten games.
Derrick Gibson went 4-5 in the game and drove in a pair of runs for Binghamton. Josh Zeid started and took the loss for the B-Mets. Coming in to tonight's action Binghamton is 28-42. The Flying Squirrels are 27-45. Richmond is the Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants.
Tonight Mickey Jannis puts a 1-7 record on the line for the B-Mets while Kyle Crick who is 1-5 starts for Richmond. Expect to see Amed Rosario get plenty of playing time this weekend for the B-Mets. The shortstop was hitting .309 with eight triples and 40 RBI in St. Lucie. He was named a Florida State Mid-Season All-Star.
