The battle resumes for a playoff spot for the Binghamton Mets had to wait as the home game against the Richmond Flying Squirrels at NYSEG Stadium was called off due to unplayable conditions.

Binghamton trails Reading by four games in the fight for first place in the Eastern League's Eastern Division. The B-Mets are three and one-half games ahead of third-place Trenton.  With an overall record of 65-54 Binghamton is 4-6 in its last ten outings.

When they take it back up, the B-Mets are expected to send Seth Lugo to the mound. He is 6-5 with a 3.80 ERA.  He would make his 20th start of the season and his third against Richmond.  He dropped both previous outings against the Flying Squirrels.  Matt Gage gets the ball for Richmond.  He is 2-2 with an ERA of 3.18.  The three-game series is the only time Richmond plays in Binghamton this season.
