B-Mets Home For Two
The Binghamton Mets are home tonight for the first of two consecutive doubleheaders against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at NYSEG Stadium. Last night in the opening game of the six game series New Hampshire downed the B-Mets 4-2.
Amed Rosario and Dominic Smith both went 2-4 at the plate. Casey Delgado gave up all four runs to the Fisher Cats and took the loss to drop to 4-4 this season.
Tyler Pill opposes Taylor Cole in the first game tonight while Jim Henderson, who is with Binghamton on a rehab assignment, makes the start in the second game for Binghamton.
Jose Reyes and Juan Lagares continue their stay in Binghamton. Lagares had one hit in four plate appearances last night while Reyes has not found his batting eye and is hitting .083 with one hit in twelve at-bats against Eastern League pitching. Reyes is working at third base. Plans indicate New York will look to use Reyes at third replacing the injured David Wright.
