WNBF News/ Roger Neel Photo

The Binghamton Mets visit the Bowie Baysox for four consecutive games beginning tonight at 7:05 (airtime at 6:50 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  These are the final regular season road games for the B-Mets.  Binghamton concludes regular season play on Labor Day at home facing the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

In yesterday’s game starter Greg Peavey got off to a poor start giving up six runs in the first two innings and took the loss as his record drops to 2-2.  Binghamton stands at 82-52.  The B-Mets playoff opponents have yet to be determined.  The top two teams in each division meet in the semi-final round.  Currently, Trenton is in second place, 12.5 games behind Binghamton.  New Hampshire is 15.5 behind the B-Mets…three games out of second place.

In the Western Division it is a true dog-fight.  Harrisburg is in first place by one-half game over Erie.  Richmond is three back and Bowie is 3.5 games out of first place.

Noah Syndergaard puts a 6-0 record on the line for the B-Mets tonight.  Opposing him is Eduardo Rodriguez with a slate of 2-3.
