B-Mets Head to Bowie For Four Straight
The Binghamton Mets visit the Bowie Baysox for four consecutive games beginning tonight at 7:05 (airtime at 6:50 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF). These are the final regular season road games for the B-Mets. Binghamton concludes regular season play on Labor Day at home facing the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
In yesterday's game starter Greg Peavey got off to a poor start giving up six runs in the first two innings and took the loss as his record drops to 2-2. Binghamton stands at 82-52. The B-Mets playoff opponents have yet to be determined. The top two teams in each division meet in the semi-final round. Currently, Trenton is in second place, 12.5 games behind Binghamton. New Hampshire is 15.5 behind the B-Mets...three games out of second place.
In the Western Division it is a true dog-fight. Harrisburg is in first place by one-half game over Erie. Richmond is three back and Bowie is 3.5 games out of first place.
Noah Syndergaard puts a 6-0 record on the line for the B-Mets tonight. Opposing him is Eduardo Rodriguez with a slate of 2-3.
