The Binghamton Mets dropped an 8-4 decision to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats yeasterday (Sunday) as they closed out the first portion of their season and head to the Eastern League All-Star break.  New Hampshire ripped a couple of home runs in their win.  Mickey Jannis started on the mound for the B-Mets and took the loss dropping to 3-8 this season. Shane Dawson made the start for the Fisher Cats and earned the win to move to a record of 5-4.

Three B-Mets will take part in the Eastern League All-Star game this Wednesday, July 13 in Akron, Ohio.  Representing Binghamton will be starting pitcher Tyler Pill, infielder Matt Oberste and relief pitcher Logan Taylor.

The B-Mets closed the first half of their schedule with a record of 33-43.  Binghamton resumes action on Thursday evening at NYSEG Stadium when the B-Mets open a ten-game homestand by facing the Hartford Yard Goats at 6:35 PM (air at 6:20 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
