Mother nature stopped the Binghamton Mets and Portland Sea Dogs game at Hadlock Field in Portland tonight.  Play was suspended after two innings were completed with no score.  The game will be completed as part of a doubleheader tomorrow.

Lightning caused the game to be suspended but that was followed by heavy rains leaving the field unplayable . The umpires waited over 90 minutes before throwing in the towel.  The two teams will pick-up play in the top of the third inning.  The suspended game will go nine innings and that will be followed by a seven inning contest.

The B-Mets lead the Sea Dogs by nine games in the Eastern Division. Going into tonight's action Portland and Trenton were tied for second place.  Binghamton returns home after tomorrow's doubleheader for five games with the Thunder at NYSEG Stadium with the first game in the series set for Thursday at 6:35 PM.

Play begins tomorrow at 5 PM with airtime on News Radio 1290 WNBF at 4:45.  Tim Heiman will cover all the action.
