B-Mets Face Flying Squirrels
The Binghamton Mets are in Richmond tonight to face the Flying Squirrels in the second game of their three-game series. Last night Richmond topped the B-Mets 8-1. Mickey Jannis took the loss while Dan Slania earned the win.
Tyler Pill gets the start tonight for Binghamton. Pill is 3-6 with an ERA of 4.22. He faces southpaw Matt Gage who enters tonight's action with a 2-5 record and a 3.86 ERA. Overall the B-Mets are 27-35 while the Flying Squirrels are 25-39.
Binghamton's Phillip Evans extended his hitting streak to 12 games as he banged out three hits last night. He has been re-hot with 22 hits in his last 53 plate appearances.
Binghamton plays in Richmond again tomorrow night and then travels to Trenton this weekend for another three-game series. The B-Mets return home to host the Altoona Curve next Tuesday night at 6:35.
