The first-place Binghamton Mets are in Reading tonight  to meet the Fightin Phils in the second game of a three-game series.  Last night Reading downed the B-Mets 7-6 on a wild pitch from the Eastern League's  top closer Jeff Walters that allowed the winning run to score in the bottom of the ninth inning.  The B-Mets enter tonight's game with a 10.5 game lead over the Trenton Thunder.  Binghamton's magic number to clinch a playoff spot is 5.

Darin Gorski is tonight's B-Mets starter.  The southpaw carries a 4-1 record into action and is making his tenth start of the season for the B-Mets.  Brody Colvin is on the hill for Reading.  Colvin is 3-2 for the Fightin Phils.

The two teams meet again tomorrow night in Reading.  Binghamton then returns to NYSEG Stadium for a six game homestand beginning Friday at 7:05 PM versus the New Britain Rock Cats.
