The Binghamton Mets lost a 2-1 decision to the Trenton Thunder last night in Trenton.  That puts Binghamton down two games to none in the East Division Championship Series.   It also means that the regular season champs must run the table and win three in a row at NYSEG Stadium to advance to the championship round.

Josh Rodriguez hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to account for Binghamton's only tally.  It was his first homer since July 6.  Darin Gorski suffered the loss.

Tonight the B-Mets will be at NYSEG Stadium for the first of what they hope will be three in a row versus the Thunder.  Logan Verrett will face Shane Greene in a battle of right-handed pitchers.  It is "do or die" time for the B-Mets who must sweep the Thunder to advance to face the winner of the Harrisburg-Erie series for the Eastern League Championship. That series is tied at 1-1 after Erie captured a 2-1 victory in 12 innings last night.  Game three is set for Harrisburg tonight.

If game 4 is needed to decide the Binghamton-Trenton series then that is set for 7:05 PM tomorrow night and if a game 5 is necessary the B-Mets will host the Thunder at 1:05 PM on Sunday.
