The Binghamton Mets edged the Altoona Curve 4-3 tonight (Sunday) in Altoona.  Robert Gsellman started and went eight innings to get the win and up his record to 3-4.  Akeel Morris pitched the ninth and recorded the save for Binghamton.

Binghamton led 4-2 heading into the ninth inning.  Morris gave up a leadoff home run by Austin Meadows to start the frame but then retired the Curve the rest of the inning to preserve the victory.

Niuman Romero banged out four hits in the game for the B-Mets.  With the win the B-Mets move to 23-32 on the season.  Altoona drops to 31-24. Binghamton won four of the six games on the road trip...taking two out of three games in Erie and Altoona.

The B-Mets have a day off on Monday and then begin a series at NYSEG Stadium on Tuesday night at 6:35 PM against the Trenton Thunder.  Air at 6:20 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
