The Binghamton Mets are playing their best baseball of the season as they take a four-game winning streak into Portland, Maine for a series against the Sea Dogs.  The B-Mets are idle tonight and open a three-game series in Portland tomorrow night at 6PM (airtime at 545 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).

Binghamton finished a sweep of the Akron Aeros with a 9-4 win last night at NYSEG Stadium.  Cory Vaughn highlighted a six-run fifth inning with a grand slam home run as Binghamton overcame an early 3-0 deficit to earn the decision.

Jacob deGrom earned his first first Double-A win going seven innings  and allowing four runs on eight hits with six strikeouts.  Adam Kolarek and John Church each tossed scoreless innings  in relief to close the victory.

Binghamton has a season record of 22-18 while the SeaDogs are 22-15.  Erik Goeddel is the B-Mets scheduled starter tomorrow night.  Binghamton will play 1:05 PM games vs the SeaDogs on Saturday and Sunday and then head to New Britain for four games from Monday through Thursday before returning home to host Portland next Friday night at 7:05 PM.
