The Binghamton Mets and Portland Sea Dogs split a doubleheader last night at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine.  Binghamton won the first game 5-0 and lost the nightcap 8-2.  B-Mets starter Hansel Robles pitched six shutout innings to earn the win in game one. In the top of the seventh inning the game was stopped for a one hour and 39 minute rain delay.  Cody Satterwhite closed out the final inning giving Binghamton its sixth consecutive  victory.

In the second game catcher Mike Brenly launched a grand slam home run in the third inning off of B-Mets starting pitcher Angel Cuan to put the Sea Dogs up by seven runs as they coasted to an 8-2 decision.  It was the season debut for Cuan in a Binghamton uniform.

The two teams meet again tonight in Portland. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:00 PM.  Airtime for tonight’s broadcast is 5:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  Darin Gorski will get the start for Binghamton while Brian Johnson counters for the Sea Dogs.
