Roger Neel

Roger is the Morning Show host on Newsradio 1290 WNBF. In addition Roger serves as Program and Sports Director for WNBF and Program Director for ESPN 1360 AM WYOS. Roger came to WNBF to broadcast pro hockey with the American Hockey League's Broome Dusters and later Binghamton Whalers. He has been WNBF's Program Director since 1986. In addition Roger is the play by play voice of the Binghamton University Bearcats men's basketball team and was the Binghamton Mets Stadium Announcer for 12 seasons.. He graduated from Westminster College with a BA degree in Speech and Broadcasting. At Westminster he was a starting offensive tackle on their 1970 NAIA National Championship football team and was Captain of the baseball team in his Sr. season. Roger was selected for entry into the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Southern Tier Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2010.

Deceased Identified In Christmas Morning Shooting

     Binghamton Chief of Police Joseph Zikuski released more details today in a Christmas morning shooting incident in Binghamton which left one police officer wounded and one suspect dead.  Zikuski identified the dead man as 20 year-old Roberto Garcia who was a native of Cuba and was believed to have family on Binghamton's West Side

Student Stabs Father at Binghamton University

     Several police agencies including Binghamton University police responded to a reported family dispute at Choconut Hall at approximately 6:18 PM Sunday.  According to several news organizations Min Park, a junior at the University got into a dispute with his family and stabbed his father numerous times as well as injuring his mother and sister who tried to intervene in the disagreement
