Roger Neel

Roger is the Morning Show host on Newsradio 1290 WNBF. In addition Roger serves as Brand Manager and Sports Director for WNBF and Program Director for ESPN 1360 AM WYOS. Roger came to WNBF to broadcast pro hockey with the American Hockey League's Broome Dusters and later Binghamton Whalers. He has been WNBF's Brand Manager since 1986. In addition Roger is the play by play voice of the Binghamton University Bearcats men's basketball team and was the Binghamton Mets Stadium Announcer for 12 seasons.. He graduated from Westminster College with a BA degree in Speech and Broadcasting. At Westminster he was a starting offensive tackle on their 1970 NAIA National Championship football team and was Captain of the baseball team in his Sr. season. Roger was selected for entry into the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003, the Southern Tier Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2010 and Slippery Rock High School's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012.

Romello Walker Tabbed as America East Rookie of the Week

Binghamton Bearcat freshman Romello Walker has been named the America East Rookie of the Week.

Walker averaged 17.5 points per game in two America East contests last week.  He scored 17 points in Hartford January 7 and fired in 18 tallies in the Bearcats' win over Maine January 10 at the Events Center

Binghamton Bearcats Look to Bounce Black Bears

The Binghamton Bearcats take a page out of Baseball Hall of Famer Ernie Banks quote book today..."let's play two" as the men's and women's basketball teams are in action.

The women's team hosts the Vermont Catamounts at noon followed by the men's team entertaining the Maine Black Bears at about 2:15 PM
