Roger Neel

Roger is the Morning Show host on Newsradio 1290 WNBF. In addition Roger serves as Brand Manager and Sports Director for WNBF and Program Director for ESPN 1360 AM WYOS. Roger came to WNBF to broadcast pro hockey with the American Hockey League's Broome Dusters and later Binghamton Whalers. He has been WNBF's Brand Manager since 1986. In addition Roger is the play by play voice of the Binghamton University Bearcats men's basketball team and was the Binghamton Mets Stadium Announcer for 12 seasons.. He graduated from Westminster College with a BA degree in Speech and Broadcasting. At Westminster he was a starting offensive tackle on their 1970 NAIA National Championship football team and was Captain of the baseball team in his Sr. season. Roger was selected for entry into the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003, the Southern Tier Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2010 and Slippery Rock High School's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012.

Binghamton Mets Struggle

When the Binghamton Mets hosted the Portland Sea Dogs May 27 with Dillon Gee pitching in a rehab start as he tries to work his way back to New York following a strained groin injury.

In spite of the big-league talent on the mound, the B-Mets were unable to recover from a deficit early on and fell 3-2 to the Sea Dogs

Binghamton Mets Celebrate Championship With Visit to Riveread Books

The Play-By-Play Voice of the Binghamton Mets, Tim Heiman and Postseason MVP Xorge Carrillo made a noon appearance May 26 at Riveread Books, 5 Court Street in Binghamton.

They spoke about the team's 2014 Eastern League Championship and then took questions from fans who attended the presentation
