The Chenango County man recently convicted in the murder of his wife and who is awaiting sentencing, is accused of trying to bribe his way out of jail.

Republicans Control Broome’s Legislature

 

Unofficial results put Republicans in firm control of the Broome County Legislatures with a dozen GOP lawmakers and three Democrats to be seated January first.

 

Democrat Anthony Fiala, who pleaded guilty to a drunk driving charge weeks before the election following a collision between his vehicle and a bicyclist on Clinton Street, Binghamton, lost his re-election bid.
