Binghamton & Johnson City No Longer to Share a Police Chief

The City of Binghamton and Village of Johnson City are backing off on one component that was touted during years of talk of dissolving the Village.

Johnson City will soon have its own police chief again and Binghamton's chief will be tasked with overseeing only the City’s Police Department

Newman Development Buys University Plaza Interest

Binghamton University Foundation is selling its interest in the University Plaza to a Broome County developer.

In a statement released by Binghamton University, officials say the housing and shopping complex on the Vestal Parkway was sold to Newman Development, which already owned the property and had been leasing it to University Plaza LLC
