Owego Police Ask For Help in Finding Runaway Teen

The Owego Police Department are asking for the public's help in locating a 16 year old boy who ran away from home several days ago.

Police say David Bissell ran away on January 30th.

Two Cortland Residents Charged in Heroin Sale Investigation

 

Two Cortland residents are being charged in an on-going investigation into the sale of heroin in the area. 

New York State Police say 25 year old William Clark and 17 year old Casson Hathaway were arrested January 31st  after State Police, U-S Drug Enforcement Administration and Cortland County Sheriff’s officials executed search warrants in the City of Cortland, seizing 172 packets of heroin, the synthetic drug, “molly”, cocaine and marijuana as well as packaging materials, hypodermic needles and cash.

Endwell Fire District Spending Practices Criticized

 

Officials with the Endwell Fire District say they are taking steps to deal with issues brought up in a recent audit from the New York State Comptroller’s Office.

The report cited the district for dozens of payments that auditors say had not been approved in a timely manner by the board of trustees before the checks went out.

Binghamton Man Arrested in Federal Drug Sting

New York State Police say a Binghamton man wanted on a federal warrant for narcotics conspiracy is in custody.

Authorities say 70 year old Theodore Roosevelt Johnson, who was living in an apartment on Grand Boulevard, was arrested February 4 by members of the United States Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force, New York State Police and the Binghamton Police Department Warrant Squad
