Spiedie Eating Contest to Return to Tioga Downs

Champion eater Joey Chestnut is coming back to the Southern Tier.  Tioga Downs says Major League Eating and Lupos are again hosting a spiedie eating challenge August 8th at the racino in Nichols.

Chestnut won last year’s inaugural chicken spiedie eating championship in spite of never sampling an authentic spiedie prior to the contest

Bradford County Man Accused of Raping a Girl for Years

A Bradford County, Pennsylvania man is accused of raping a girl over the course of over seven and a half years.

State Police say 37 year old Ricky Carter of Hughesville is charged with over 1,400 counts: 500 counts of felony rape and 300 hundred counts each of sexual assault, statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors as well as 10 counts of misdemeanor indecent assault

Second Medical Marijuana Site in Broome Proposed

Another company is looking to get into the medical marijuana business with a location in Broome County.

According to filings with New York State, Wayne county pharmaceutical company, Butler Evergreen has filed for a license to manufacture and dispense medicinal marijuana with the manufacturing done in Wayne County and distribution at a facility on a busy stretch of the Vestal Parkway East
