N.Y.’s Legislature Votes to Expand Fracking Ban

Legislation to continue a moratorium on drilling for natural gas in New York State for three years is being handed over to the State Senate.

Debra Preston to Return to the Office

Broome County Executive Debra Preston says she is expecting to be back in her office in the county office building at the end of the month.

The Republican posted on her face book page that her doctors have cleared her to come back to work on June 30th with half days in the office, working up to full days as she continues to receive treatment for lung cancer

Tioga Sheriff’s Officials Charge Two With Meth. Manufacture

An Owego man is accused of making methamphetamine.

Tioga County Sheriff’s officials located a vehicle at the Trout Ponds dawn to dusk park in Newark Valley shortly before 1:30 a.m. June 11 and say the driver, 28 year old Cody Root while passenger, 31 year old Thomas Zuzuski were both charged with felony unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine
