Some regional representatives to the New York State Assembly are headed down on the farm.

Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo of Endwell and Assemblyman Clifford Crouch of Bainbridge had plans to stop at Apple Hills on Brooks Road in Binghamton and two other local farms.

The Democrat and Republican representatives say they plan to increase awareness of the role agriculture plays in the local economy.

State Agriculture and Markets Commissioner Richard Bell and Deputy for Food and Agriculture Patrick Hooker are the scheduled guests.
