Arson Arrest in Harpursville Garage Fire

A Town of Colesville man is accused of setting his garage on fire to try to collect on insurance.

Broome County Fire Investigators say they determined the blaze January 19th on Route 7 in Harpursville had been set.

43 year old Jonathon Fairfield is charged with arson and two counts of insurance fraud.

Firefighters arriving on the scene found the garage fully engulfed in flames.

There were no reports of injuries.
