One person is in custody in connection with a stabbing incident Friday, January 8 on Homer Street in Binghamton.

32-year-old Darrell Van Patten of Binghamton is charged with felony assault after getting into an argument with a 31-year-old man at around 6 p.m.

Police say the victim was sent to Wilson Hospital and is expected to survive. Police say Van Patten was also hurt in the altercation. He was treated for a head injury and released.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail.
