The New York State Police in Endwell announced an arrest in a stabbing incident that occurred early Tuesday morning.  In a press release from State Police in Endwell Gary J. Crosby, age 41 from Chenango Forks was arrested and charged with one count of Assault in the First Degree, a class B Felony, as a result of the investigation into the stabbing of a 15 year-old male that occurred at about 1:00 AM on July 5th in the vicinity of 3205 East Main Street in the Town of Union.

According to police reports a verbal altercation turned physical and Crosby struck the 15 year-old with a knife which resulted in a large laceration to his torso which required immediate medical attention.

State Police say Crosby was arraigned before Town of Union Court Judge John Black and remanded to the Broome County Hail without bail.  New York State Police and the Broome County Sheriff's Department combined efforts in the investigation.
