Police say a gun-toting man got away with cash in a robbery at a restaurant on Binghamton's West Side.

Investigators say the heist happened at Far East Chinese Restaurant at 287 Main Street.

According to city police, the robbery occurred around 3 p.m. Sunday.

Detectives say a man displayed a handgun during the incident. He ran away with some money. He fled the restaurant on foot, heading west toward Matthews Street.

Police say the suspect was a white man; about 6 feet tall; and 20-30 years old. He was wearing dark clothing and a mask.

A news release from investigators did not indicate whether anyone was injured in the robbery.
