Two Otsego County men and a Delaware Count woman are facing charges after New York State Police were called October 22 about two men fighting in a car, possibly with a knife, on Turner Street in the Town of Preston in Chenango County.

Troopers say when they got on the scene, the three suspects were separated and no one was injured.

Officials say they determined 30 year old Todd Hamilton of Unadilla was driving with 35 year old Nathan Diamond of Unadilla and 33 year old Jodi Babcock of Sidney in the vehicle at 10:49 a.m. when Hamilton got into a verbal argument with Diamond in the front seat and tried to stab Diamond with a knife.  Troopers say as the men struggled, Hamilton stopped the car and Babcock called 911.

Authorities say during the investigation, they found about three grams of heroin.

Hamilton is charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Diamond and Babcock are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

All three were sent to the Chenango County Jail on $500 bail.
