Arizona Man Charged With Felony DWI in Head-on Barker Crash

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]An Arizona man is being charged in Broome County with felony operating a vehicle while ability impaired by drugs.

New York State Police in Whitney Point arrested 30 year old Brian Herrington at 12:51 p.m. Saturday, April 30 after getting a report of a head-on crash involving a GMC pickup truck and a Toyota Camry on Leekville Road in the Town of Barker.

The mother and her two children in the car were taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

State Police say Herrington’s charge was a felony due to a prior DWI conviction in the last ten years.

Troopers say when they arrested the Morristown man, they found he had four Xanex pills in his pocket.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
