Applications Accepted for Binghamton Tree Program

Bob Joseph/WNBF News

The City of Binghamton is accepting applications for the 2014 Street Tree Planting Program.

The City has 75 trees available for planting within the utility strip or tree lawn in front of residential properties under the free program.

Trees can help reduce utility costs by shading homes as well as increase property values as they beautify the community.

City residents can apply for a free tree through the City’s Parks and Recreation Department by calling (607) 772-7017.  Applications are also available online at www.Binghamton-ny.gov/street-tree-planting.
