A smokey fire continued to burn in an apartment complex on Binghamton's West Side nearly 12 hours after it was first reported.

The blaze, which broke out shortly before midnight on Saturday night at 259 Main Street, appeared to have started on the third floor of the brick structure and quickly spread to the roof.  The fire has also reportedly spread to the neighboring apartment building in the same complex.

There have been no reports of any injuries and it appears that all occupants make it out of the building.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and investigators will not be able to determine that cause until the blaze is completely extinguished.
