The Southern Tier Heart Walk raises funds and awareness this year at SUNY Broome.  Opening ceremonies and health exhibits are being held in the Ice Center.

Walkers were requested to make a minimum pledge of $25.  Those who could not walk or attend can still make contributions to the American Heart Associatin.

Proceeds raised will benefit the American Heart Association and help with research, advocacy and education.  The walk was expected to draw over 1500 participants and the goal for money raised for the walk is $250,000.  WNBF's Roger Neel broadcast from the event on the Barb Mack Show.
