The Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) has begun its final food collection push of 2012.  As part of that push, our sister stations, 99.1 The Whale and Wild 104, are participating in the 2012 Food-A-Bago for CHOW.

The goal: fill the Jim's RV camper full of non-perishable food items.  All food items will be used to stock Southern Tier food pantries.  Last year, the event donated over 2 tons of food to CHOW!

The event is underway and will wrap up on Monday November 12th at 10 a.m.  Deejays from 99.1 The Whale and Wild 104 will be on hand in the RV each day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m to collect the donations.  Food items can be placed in the CHOW barrel in front of the RV at any time.

This year, the Food-A-Bago is once again located in the parking lot of the Weis Food Market on Upper Front Street in Binghamton, right across from the I-81 on-ramp.

The need for food is great in the Southern Tier.  Help a needy family this holiday season by donating non-perishable food items to CHOW.

Big thanks go out to Tall Pines Farm Stoves & Fireplaces for sponsoring this year's event.  Also thanks to Jim's RV for use of the camper and Weis Food Markets for the use of the parking lot.
