An Endicott man is accused of falsely reporting that his son-in-law was at a home on Taft Avenue in Endwell with a gun.

The Broome County Sheriff’s office along with a SWAT team responded to the 911 call and was unable to make contact with anyone at the house.  When they did make contact with someone, it was found there was no problem.

Investigators tracked down 53 year old Jeffrey Nielsen and questioned him. He eventually admitted to making the false call.

Nielsen is charged with felony aggravated family offense and misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and falsely reporting an incident.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
