America East Showdown Goes Global

The America East men's basketball game between the Albany Great Danes and Hartford Hawks was not only shown in the U.S. but globally on ESPN3 and in Australia on ESPN2 Pacific Rim.

There are seven players who hail from Australia collectively between the two teams.  Albany has Peter Hooley from Adelaide, Sam and Mike Rowley from Sydney and Geremy McKay from Melbourne.  Hartford has Corban Wroe from Townsville, Taylor Dyson from Sassafras and Douglas Weir from Sydney.

Going into the action the Great Danes were tied with Vermont for first place with 5-0 conference records.  Hartford is right behind at 4-1.
