If the Altoona Curve keep hitting like they did in their last three games against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies no one will touch them in the Eastern League.  Altoona rolled to a 9-2 win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in a Baseball in Education game today (Thursday) at NYSEG Stadium.

With the 9 runs scored today the Curve outscored Binghamton 28-7 in the three-game series.  Not only was the scoring output devastating but the power display was equally impressive.  Altoona ripped three home runs today and a total of nine in the series.

Marcos Molina was touched up for five runs and nine hits in six innings of work.  With the loss his record falls to 1-7.  Taylor Hearn started for Altoona and went six innings to up his record to 2-4.

With today's loss to the Curve Binghamton's record falls to 34-31.  Altoona ups its overall record to 32-28.  The Rumble Ponies embark on a six-game road trip beginning on Friday night in Hartford.  Air for tomorrow night's game is set for 6:50 P.M.
