New York State Police say a 23 year old East Meredith man is believed to have been responsible for two recent robberies in Oneonta and an attempted robbery in Delaware County.

Johnathan Lynn has been arrested and is to be charged with two counts of robbery as well as a charge of attempted robbery and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument, in connection with an attempted robbery Saturday at Otsego Auto Crushers on State Highway 23 in Davenport, in Delaware County.

Authorities say at 9:25 p.m. Thursday, April 24 a man entered the Arby’s Restaurant on State Route 7 in Oneonta and handed a note to the cashier indicating he had a gun, although no weapon was seen.

The employee gave the man money from the cash register and the suspect fled in an unknown direction.

State Police had been seeking a man with the exact same description as the man caught on surveillance video April 24 in connection with the robbery of Convenience Express on Route 7 in Oneonta at 8:39  p.m. on Saturday, April 19.

Lynn was taken to the Delaware County Jail on $15,000 bail.
